The Friday Phwoar: All Things Bright And Beautiful

This particular Phwoar should have come out last week, but there were some tech gremlins lurking, which meant it didn’t. I’ve had to type it out on 5 separate occasions now which, as you can imagine, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and hasn’t made me feel one bit murderous. The captions have got shorter with each draft. Anyway, I’m not here to moan (I am, a bit), this week is a tribute to the Queen of Colour herself, Sophie Robinson, who paid a visit to MY house last week, to do some filming for her new online course on Confident Colour Scheming. What a joyous day it was, and I’m happy to report Sophie is as great as she seems on the telly, only loads more fun (she’s usually in serious, interior-judge mode on tv, she is in no way serious or judgy in real life!). We didn’t shut up all day and I was in my element, gabbing away about colourful interiors, both when being filmed and when not. It was a bit galling to resume normal work life for the remainder of the week, let me tell you.

Actual Sophie on my actual sofa!

As a tribute to all things colourful and wonderful, here is this week’s Phwoar. Some of the links used are affiliate links. Please God, let this publish so I never have to type it out again.

1. Anthropologie throw
Anthropologie give reliably good throw, and I really like this one. Would look excellent in Kitty's room (if she didn't already have several).
2. Birdie Fortescue scallop placemat
If you haven't yet had the pleasure of a trundle round the Birdie Fortescue site, then I must urge you to remedy that. Everything is delightful. I adore these placemats, although couldn't let them within a metre of my tomato sauce-wielding kids at mealtimes.
3. M&S striped bag
*Adopt Ambassador's Reception, Ferrero Rocher vibe* Oh M&S, wiz zeeze striped bags, you are really spoiling us. I love this, and it also comes in black and white.
4. Arket Afroart striped cushion cover
More stripes, but can you ever have enough? No, you can not.
5. Zara checked melamine tray
Very strong garden party vibes, the green check makes me think of Wimbledon for some reason. Cucumber sandwiches, strawberries and cream, yes please to all of it.
6. Anissa Kermiche pot
Suggestions that this is modelled on my lockdown tummy are completely accurate.
7. Fox Murray Home "Halle" cushion
I came across Abi's cushions on Instagram and it was love at first sight. I could have chosen any from her site, as they're all wonderful, but green is my favourite, hence the Halle.
8. Big bubble candle
Quite possibly too pretty to burn, quite probably still would. I want to run my fingers over it!
9. Tartan Blanket Co picnic blanket
I have always coveted a proper, wool picnic blanket with a waterproof backing. So necessary for soggy backside British summer picnics. I love the colours in this one.
